What founders say after working with us.

"
They genuinely took the time to understand what we wanted from the brand, how it should feel and what we were trying to achieve. That's something a lot of creative agencies don't really do. They also stood their ground when they felt strongly about a direction, which I appreciated.

Hashani de Silva
Founder, Tabu Swim
"
The brand audit alone was worth more than what most agencies charge for a full rebrand. That's just how they think — a step ahead.

"
Taste Economy brought an incredible vision to life for The Pickle Factory, delivering exactly what we wanted — and elevating it beyond expectations. Hameedia Active

"Stillness in Chaos"

Menswear Active · Campaign2025Taste Economy

Where the brand was when we found it.

H Active came to us as a blank slate — a performance wear line launching under the Hameedia name, one of Sri Lanka's most established menswear brands. The ask: build a launch identity for a new athleisure label entering a market saturated with hype, influencer noise, and glossy fitness fantasy.

They wanted to stand for something different. Real athletes. Real discipline. Real movement. We had to build the entire brand world from the ground up — visual identity, campaign concept, content pillars, and a full production system — that could cut through without becoming the noise.

Every activewear brand claims performance. The real ones don't need to claim it — you can feel it.
"Hype-driven athleisure" — vs — "Purposeful performance identity"

The insight: discipline is quiet. Motivation is loud. H Active's audience doesn't need a hype machine — they show up anyway. The brand had to reflect that reality. No trend-chasing. No influencer-first thinking. A performance brand that speaks to the athlete in their actual training life, not the version they post about.

What we decided. And why.

Campaign Concept
Stillness in Chaos
In a world of noise, speed, and distraction — performance requires control. The campaign contrasts chaos vs control, blur vs precision, motion vs stillness. The athlete stays grounded while the environment moves around them. A concept strong enough to anchor the brand's next three years.
Visual Direction
Monochrome. Filmic. Intentional.
Monochrome leaning, muted neutrals, editorial film grade. Slow-motion contrasted with natural speed. Athlete stays sharp while surroundings blur. Strong silhouettes, negative space, macro focus on material and construction. No overlit studio. No trendy filters. Texture over polish.
Content Strategy
Four pillars. Built to compound.
Motion & Performance. Mindset & Discipline. Design & Material Focus. Community & Crew. A 3-month launch roadmap — Month 1 for commercial impact, Month 2 for community credibility, Month 3 for editorial elevation. Each phase building on the last, turning a campaign into a brand world.

Everything produced.

The Pickle Factory

"Where the game meets the culture"

Wellness · Hospitality · Community2025Taste Economy

Where the brand was when we found it.

The Pickle Factory had everything a serious pickleball facility should have — multiple world-class courts, a growing membership base, and a location with real foot traffic. What they didn't have was a brand. No visual identity. No voice. No community narrative. They were showing up online and in person the same way every generic sports facility does: a name, a price, a schedule.

They wanted to become the cultural home of pickleball in their city. A place people chose not just because it was convenient, but because it felt like theirs. The gap between the facility they'd built and the brand they were projecting was significant — and closing it required more than a logo refresh.

They had built a court. We helped them build a culture.
"A place to play" — vs — "A place to belong"

Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world — but the brands around it haven't caught up. The Pickle Factory had a chance to become the first facility in their market with a real cultural identity. Not just a place to play. A place to belong.

What we decided. And why.

Brand Repositioning
A club, not just a court.
We repositioned The Pickle Factory from "courts for rent" to the home of pickleball culture in Sri Lanka — unlocking community loyalty, membership logic, events, and lifestyle extensions that align with their 2–3 year vision.
Visual Direction
Community-first. Energy-led.
Raw industrial warehouse energy meets vibrant community moments. Built a consistent visual language around the sport and its people — anchored by a campaign concept the brand had been missing entirely.
Content Strategy
From documentation to storytelling.
Shifted the content model from one-off posts to structured campaign moments — Launch Weeks, League Announcements, Social Play Nights. Each one a mini-campaign with a repeatable content ladder.

Everything produced.

Tabu Swim

Redefining Swim.

Women's Swim · Brand Direction2026Taste Economy

A mission-driven brand with nowhere to live yet.

Tabu Swim came to us pre-launch. The product was in production, the logo was developed, and founder Hashani de Silva had a crystal-clear mission — to build Sri Lanka's most expressive swimwear brand and subtly shift cultural perceptions around what women wear to the water.

What was missing was the scaffolding. No content strategy. No defined visual world. No brand voice. No roadmap for how the brand would actually show up on day one.

The problem we had to solve.
The product was ready. The mission was clear. But a brand isn't a mission — it's a world. And Tabu's world hadn't been built yet.

Every pre-launch moment is a critical one. Show up without direction and you train your audience to see you as just another product. Tabu Swim had the potential to be a cultural touchstone in Sri Lankan fashion — but that required a system, not just a story.

Four pillars. One coherent world.

We built Tabu's content system around four pillars — Product, Personality, Place, and Lifestyle. Each one defines not just what to post, but how it should feel: the visual language, the tone, the pacing.

The visual direction we delivered gave the brand a clear north star: editorial references rooted in Sri Lankan light and texture, real women in real moments, and a lifestyle aesthetic that's aspirational without being performative. Poetic captions. Purposeful storytelling. A brand voice that matches the emotional intelligence of the mission.

Content System
Product · Personality · Place · Lifestyle
Four pillars that define what the brand shows, how often, and why each category matters — giving Tabu a repeatable framework to build community before the first sale.
Visual World
Coastal. Tactile. Unfiltered.
Sri Lankan light. Wet skin. Fabric in wind. The aesthetic direction is built from real references — not just mood, but method. Beautiful without being performed.
Brand Voice
Poetic. Purposeful. Human.
Caption direction and tone guidelines that match the brand's emotional intelligence — focused on feeling, not slogans. Launch-ready from day one.

Everything produced.
